Senior Interaction Designer at Version 1

The role

This role involves designing detailed interaction patterns and high-fidelity prototypes for digital products and services. You will work closely with engineering and UX teams to ensure accessible, consistent, and well-documented interface designs.

What you'll do

• Design detailed interaction patterns and interface states for digital products
• Produce high-fidelity prototypes to communicate and validate interaction logic
• Define and document micro-interactions and error states for development
• Apply and extend the GOV.UK Design System with reusable patterns
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and accessible implementation
• Maintain design system consistency and contribute to shared component libraries

What you'll bring

• Expert proficiency in Figma including component and variant management
• Strong portfolio demonstrating interaction-level design decisions and prototyping
• Familiarity with the GOV.UK Design System and established design systems
• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS or Sass for collaboration
• Understanding of WCAG 2.2 and practical application in interface design
