The role

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Deputy Design Manager to lead large-scale municipal projects involving building renovations and restacking. The role involves directing project managers and managing CMAR contracts through all phases from design to closeout. This is a hybrid position requiring regular on-site presence to coordinate with various stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Direct project managers in managing CMARs and design professionals throughout the project lifecycle
• Administer civil scopes of work during design and construction phases
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules and change orders
• Manage external design consultants to ensure adherence to established standards
• Identify innovative solutions to reduce construction costs without compromising quality
• Oversee the commissioning of electrical scopes and coordinate final project completion

What you'll bring

• Degree in civil engineering or construction management with civil design experience
• Extensive background in project management for large-scale construction programs
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong presentation skills and ability to succeed in client-facing roles
• Experience with CMAR contracts and pre-construction design processes
