Principal, Motion Designer at Hut 8

The role

The Motion Designer will bring Hut 8's brand stories to life through high-quality animations for social media, long-form videos, and internal events. You will work closely with the creative team to translate complex energy and technology concepts into compelling visual formats.

What you'll do

• Design and animate motion graphics for diverse video content and presentations
• Support end-to-end production from initial storyboarding through final delivery
• Create and maintain brand-consistent templates and motion graphic elements
• Collaborate with producers and marketing partners to execute creative concepts
• Edit video footage using After Effects and Premiere Pro transitions
• Build a library of reusable motion assets and graphic templates

What you'll bring

• One to three years of professional experience in motion design
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and the Creative Suite
• A strong portfolio or reel showcasing motion graphics work
• Solid understanding of typography color and composition principles
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
