Design Manager

Role Overview

This role involves coordinating design and engineering activities for large-scale construction projects to ensure timely progress and adherence to specifications. The successful candidate will lead internal and external teams to resolve technical issues and manage the flow of design documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with client design teams for project build and site design
• Manage internal and external design teams to maintain the project program
• Lead engineering workshops to resolve issues before site activities begin
• Oversee the technical submittal process and ensure specification adherence
• Manage design queries and the formal RFI process for change management
• Control IFC releases to ensure all engineers use current design versions

Requirements Snapshot

• Seven plus years of experience in large-scale project delivery
• Data centre experience is considered a significant advantage
• Degree level background in a relevant construction discipline
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
• Strong communication skills for leading multidisciplinary teams
