The role

Join thatgamecompany as a Game Design Intern to craft meaningful and emotionally resonant gameplay experiences. You will work within an in-house engine to implement content and collaborate with a professional design team.

What you'll do

• Create and implement gameplay content using the in-house engine.
• Set up levels and node graphs for various game systems.
• Develop cutscenes to enhance the player narrative experience.
• Collaborate with experienced designers on creative gameplay solutions.
• Participate in design brainstorms and internal playtest sessions.
• Use programming skills to implement or refine specific gameplay features.

What you'll bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Game Design or a related field.
• At least six months of experience related to game design.
• Basic familiarity with 3D software such as Maya or Unity.
• Ability to script simple gameplay logic for feature implementation.
• Available to work onsite in Shanghai for at least two months.
