Game Designer (Mid/Senior) at Xsolla

The role

Xsolla is seeking a Game Designer to enhance a hardcore medieval sandbox MMORPG featuring complex player-driven systems. You will improve existing mechanics and develop new features while supporting the project's transition to a new game engine.

What you'll do

• Design and improve interconnected gameplay mechanics and systems
• Balance character progression crafting combat and the in-game economy
• Create detailed design documentation and feature specifications
• Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure technical feasibility
• Identify gameplay issues exploits and opportunities for improvement
• Support gameplay adaptations during the ongoing engine transition

What you'll bring

• At least three years of professional game design experience
• Strong background in systems design and game economies
• Proficiency in analyzing mechanics and proposing practical improvements
• Advanced analytical skills including confidence with balance calculations
• Professional level written and spoken English
