Electronics Design Engineer at Base Power Company

The role

The Electronics Design Engineer will lead the end-to-end design and validation of complex energy storage systems including inverters and batteries. This role involves taking hardware from initial schematic concepts through to high-volume manufacturing and field deployment.

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end design of energy storage systems from specifications to PCB layout
• Conduct board bring-up including debugging soldering and mechanical assembly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition products to high-volume manufacturing
• Design and execute high voltage and high current validation for battery systems
• Debug complex component interactions at the system level to ensure reliability
• Oversee reliability and functional testing for all hardware components

What you'll bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in digital and analog circuit design including high voltage systems
• Experience with Altium for PCB design and hardware bring-up
• Familiarity with embedded firmware microcontrollers and Python scripting
• Knowledge of power semiconductors and automotive networking protocols like CAN
