The role

The Director of Data Hall Design will build and lead Nscale's specialist function responsible for the physical design of AI infrastructure within data halls. This hands-on leadership role involves translating complex GPU, networking, and power requirements into precise, buildable design packages for global facilities.

What you'll do

• Own data hall layout design from early concepts to construction-ready drawing packages
• Translate network architecture into physical designs for high-speed GPU fabrics
• Produce detailed design deliverables including rack elevations and cable plans
• Develop accurate bills of materials for equipment and procurement packages
• Establish and maintain global data hall design standards and quality processes
• Build and lead a team of data hall designers as the portfolio scales

What you'll bring

• Ten or more years of experience in data hall or IT infrastructure design
• Deep expertise in high-density compute environments and GPU cluster design
• Strong knowledge of high-speed networking including InfiniBand and Ethernet
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and DCIM or infrastructure documentation tools
• Demonstrated ability to produce production-quality technical documentation
