The role

The Director of Design and Engineering for APAC leads the technical design and delivery of Nscales data centre portfolio across the region. This role focuses on developing scalable and energy-efficient facilities specifically optimized for high-density AI and GPU workloads.

What you'll do

• Lead the APAC data centre design function across multiple engineering disciplines
• Set technical strategy and reference architectures for regional data centre facilities
• Manage projects from site feasibility assessments through commissioning and operational handover
• Define technical specifications and equipment selections for critical infrastructure systems
• Develop specialized cooling and power solutions for high-density AI deployments
• Establish engineering governance and risk management controls across all regional projects

What you'll bring

• Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, or structural engineering
• Minimum of twelve years experience in data centre design or mission-critical environments
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle
• Deep expertise in critical power distribution and mechanical cooling systems
• Strong understanding of hyperscale infrastructure and international data centre standards
