Job Description

As a System Designer Mechanics, you play a vital role in supporting the System Architect in deriving system requirements from customer needs.

In this role, you support our customers in the high tech industry with developing cutting-edge equipment, both in the Brainport region and internationally. Together with experts in mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, software and mathematics you will bring high-tech solutions to life, such as advanced lithography machines, compact electron microscopes or medical devices that automate human tissue analysis.

Translate requirements into mechanical and mechatronic concepts and designs within a multidisciplinary system context.Perform detailed calculations and analyses, including strength and stiffness evaluations, design optimizations, and use of FEM software.Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with accurate time and complexity estimates and take ownership of executing technical work packages.Lead your own multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, organizing and delegating tasks to ensure project completion.Identify potential technical risks early and propose effective mitigation strategies.Actively promote and implement synergy between different engineering disciplines within the project.Take ownership of broader and more complex scopes and challenges within the mechanical domain, including stakeholder management, technical leadership of a larger team, and topics such as competence development.
