In a nutshell
As a Service Designer at Picnic, you’ll shape how millions of families experience grocery shopping, from planning their groceries and weekly meals to cooking and enjoying healthy, delicious food together. You’ll work hand in hand with Product Owners, Designers, UX Researchers, Data Analysts, Engineers, and Business stakeholders to design every step of the customer journey.
You’ll spend half your time running service design and research activities such as customer interviews, journey mapping, and usability testing. The other half you’ll focus on turning those insights into solutions that drive real customer impact. By bringing everyone at Picnic closer to our customers, you’ll help create innovations that make everyday life simpler, healthier, and more sustainable.

Your superpowers
MSc. degree in a relevant field, such as Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction Design or Product Design0-4 years of experience as Service DesignerStrong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product thinking, solving real problems for real people at scaleConceptual-analytical skills: able to understand complex flows, connect business and technical perspectives, and translate data into clear insightsAbility to reason on high level about various topics, to quickly understand and discuss both business and technical conceptsExcellent communicator: You know how to facilitate workshops with anyone and know how to present service insights succinctlyFlexibility: Agile approach and ability to learn on the goCreativity: Outside-the box thinking and passion for detailsAffinity for or previous experience with digital design is a plusFluency in both Dutch and English. German and/or French are a plusOpen and available to work on-site fulltime
