Your role The Graphic Designer is responsible for the visual language for Lygature and our partnerships, thereby facilitating communication with the internal and external audiences in an effective way. The work ranges from creating logos and guidelines to designing magazines and websites. The Graphic Designer can shape and influence the visual landscapes via the following responsibilities: Use knowledge of tools and skills ito advise partnerships and/or project teams on how to best use visuals & tools. Work across multiple partnerships, projects and/or for Lygature itself to deliver high quality, consistent and effective output (print, digital, social media content, and pitches) as required. Maintain visual identities (logo, stationary, templates for Microsoft applications, newsletter templates) for all partnerships and Lygature itself. Maintain the UI/UX design of the websites of Lygature and its partnerships. Create visual designs that communicate a specific message or concept in close cooperation with the Communication Managers. Create designs such as logos, brochures, magazines, websites, banners, videos, and animations. Perform the necessary research before creating any design to understand the target audience to ensure that the final product effectively communicates the intended message. Work closely with the communications team, relevant colleagues, external stakeholders, and vendors to create designs that meet their needs. Managing multiple partnerships and/or project assignments and meeting deadlines. Staying up to date with design trends and software tools. Communicate well and on time in case tasks are unclear, delayed/postponed, or take more time to finalize.
Expertise Bachelor’s degree (graphic design related) with 4+ years of relevant working experience. Good understanding of color theory, typography, and layout design. Ability to work well with sharp deadlines, budget constraints, and requirements for deliverables. Good communication skills, with proficiency in spoken and written Dutch and English (advanced, B2 level). Expert knowledge of commonly used software tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
