Job Description

Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Celebrating unconventional aesthetics and embracing the philosophy that fashion is an art of expression rather than a cult of personality, Maison Margiela offers haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, contemporary line MM6, footwear, interior design, and accessories, including leather goods, fine jewelry and fragrance.

In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.

Scope

The Graphic Designer supports the development and execution of visual assets across Maison Margiela and MM6. Working closely with the Graphic Designer and content manager and the Art director, the role contributes to the production of graphic design, digital content, presentations and communication materials while ensuring consistency with the Maison's visual identity.

The role supports projects related to fashion shows, campaign, shooting, product launches, retail, digital communication, press, lookbooks and international activations.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Brand Assets

Creation and execution of graphic assets for Maison Margiela and MM6 across print and digital platforms.

Produce presentations, invitations, brochures, layouts and communication materials while respecting the Maison's visual identity.

Adapt existing creative concepts into production-ready assets.

Prepare artwork for print and digital production.

Ensure consistency across all visual deliverables.

Production of maquette and physical mock up.

Content creation

Support the creation of visual content for digital, social media and communication purposes

Produce content through photography, videography, scanning, painting, collage, craft techniques and other creative processes aligned with the Maison Margiela visual identity.

Assist in the development of still and moving image assets for presentations, campaigns, events and internal communication.

Perform post-production tasks including image retouching, video editing, color correction and formatting to deliver high-quality final assets.

Ensure all content is technically optimized and consistent with the Maison's creative standards across print and digital platforms.

Digital Content & Social Media

Support the Digital and PR teams with formatting and adapting visual assets for digital platforms.

Assist with photo retouching, video editing and motion graphic assets.

Prepare social media layouts, stories and presentation visuals.

Ensure assets meet technical specifications for each platform.

Lookbooks & Publications

Assist with the creation of seasonal printed & digital lookbooks and other publications.

Formatting, final artwork preparation and assist with production coordination until final delivery.

Events, Shows & Brand Experiences

Support the graphic development of fashion shows, exhibitions, events and product launches.

Produce invitations, signage, guest materials and event-related graphic assets.

Prepare production files for suppliers

Retail, CRM & International Offices

Create and update retail communication tools, VIC materials and CRM assets.

Produce invitations, newsletters images and digital assets.

Support international offices with localized invitations, packaging and event materials.

Adapt assets for regional activations while respecting global brand guidelines.

Research & Creative Support

Conduct visual research for creative briefs and communication projects.

Monitor graphic design, typography and luxury industry trends.

Support concept development through mood boards and visual references.

Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Art direction and Marketing team.

Coordinate with printers, production suppliers and external vendors

Ensure smooth communication throughout project execution.

Skills & Experience

1-3 years of experience in graphic design within fashion, luxury, creative agencies or cultural institutions.

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; After Effects, Premiere Pro or final cut).

Understanding of print production and digital asset creation.

Excellent layout, typography and visual composition skills.

Knowledge of photography and video editing.

Fluent French (C1) & English
