Design Engineer at Method Financial

The role

Method is seeking its first Design Engineer to bridge the gap between high-end code and elite visual design. You will partner with the Head of Design to define the aesthetic direction and technical implementation of the company's web properties and design systems.

What you'll do

• Own the visual and interactive quality of the design system including motion and consistency
• Build shader-based experiences for the website using Three.js and WebGL
• Redesign the dashboard with polished data visualization and generative UI components
• Architect a component library supporting dynamic UI construction from structured data
• Collaborate with engineers to bring a high level of frontend craft to all products
• Contribute to open-source projects to establish Method's point of view in the design community

What you'll bring

• Proven experience shipping interactive web work using Three.js and WebGL
• Deep understanding of the full stack from GPU rendering to React architecture
• Experience building production-grade design systems and component libraries
• Strong aesthetic judgment and the ability to execute without detailed design comps
• Ability to work independently in a high-growth developer-first environment
