The role

As a Staff Product Designer at Coast, you will lead the design of smart financial infrastructure for the American fleet industry. You will work in an AI-first, builder-led environment to define problems and ship product experiences that drive business outcomes.

What you'll do

• Pair with product managers and engineers to define problems and ship improvements.
• Conduct customer research and use LLMs to synthesize insights and identify patterns.
• Build functional prototypes and ship UI improvements using AI-powered development tools.
• Create intuitive experiences that simplify complex financial operations for fleet operators.
• Identify and fix usability issues and design inconsistencies across the product.
• Champion design craft and share AI techniques with the broader design team.

What you'll bring

• Minimum of six years of experience designing complex digital products.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and high-quality design craft.
• Active integration of LLMs like ChatGPT or Claude into the design workflow.
• Comfort working with AI-powered tools such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers to define success metrics.
