Senior Product Design Engineer at Ōura

The role

Oura is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the hardware team in developing future wearable technology. This hybrid role involves designing cutting-edge consumer devices with a focus on precision and detail. You will work collaboratively in San Diego or San Francisco to bring innovative health products to life.

What you'll do

• Design and develop cutting-edge wearable and consumer electronic devices
• Drive product development with manufacturing partners across multiple continents
• Build and test numerous prototypes to evaluate design concepts
• Iterate quickly on designs based on testing and performance results
• Package dense components including PCBs and batteries into small enclosures
• Collaborate with industrial designers and hardware engineers on product integrity

What you'll bring

• Six or more years of experience in consumer product design engineering
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as NX or Solidworks
• Strong background in mechanics of materials and scalable manufacturing processes
• Proven ability to build and evaluate prototypes using test equipment
• Experience leading technical tasks and mentoring cross-functional team members
