Design Leader, Software Design at Ōura

The role

Oura is seeking a Design Leader of Software Design to oversee the end-to-end experience of its mobile and web products. This Helsinki-based hybrid role involves leading a multi-disciplinary organization to deliver coherent, insight-driven health experiences. You will operate at a high level of ambiguity to set a clear design vision and drive company-level impact.

What you'll do

• Manage and develop a high-performing software design organization across multiple teams
• Mentor designers at all levels through regular feedback and career development support
• Define a concrete and actionable design vision for member-facing mobile and web experiences
• Lead design critiques and working sessions to elevate the quality of team output
• Steward and evolve the design system to ensure coherence across the Oura ecosystem
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to influence roadmap priorities and strategy

What you'll bring

• Typically ten or more years of experience in software or product design
• Three or more years of experience managing and growing UX teams
• Portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex multi-surface consumer or health tech products
• Deep fluency in interaction design, information architecture, and systems thinking
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through excellent communication and storytelling
