Director / Senior Director, Engineering, Core UX & Growth at Hover

The role

This leadership position oversees the engineering strategy for Hovers Core UX, Growth, and Billing Systems to create a seamless platform experience. You will lead teams in building foundational customer experiences and a self-service growth engine to unlock the small-business market.

What you'll do

• Own the engineering strategy for shared customer experiences including signup and account management
• Build a self-service growth engine to remove friction across the customer lifecycle
• Lead billing systems that power subscriptions, payments, and pricing models
• Hire and coach a high-performing engineering organization while addressing performance gaps
• Integrate AI capabilities into product features and internal engineering workflows
• Connect engineering investments to business outcomes like revenue and retention

• Extensive experience leading multiple engineering teams and managers for customer-facing products
• Proven track record of strong product and business judgment in a collaborative environment
• T-shaped technical leadership across frontend, backend, architecture, and security
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and move between strategy and operational detail
