About The Role
We are seeking a talented and innovative Designer to join our Product Team at RND Fortis GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our digital products by creating compelling visual designs, prototypes, and UX strategies that improve user engagement and satisfaction. You will work closely with Product Owners, Frontend Developers, and Stakeholders to develop and implement design systems, conduct user research, and test prototypes. Your strategic mindset will be vital in developing concepts, reviewing standards, and ensuring consistency across our digital platforms. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a professional or academic background in Design, Media Design, Software Development, or a related field with a focus on digital design. You should have several years of experience developing digital products, preferably within journalism or media environments. Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Jira, Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, and Asana is essential. You should have a proven track record of organizing user research projects independently, engaging directly with target audiences through interviews, surveys, or usability tests. Familiarity with AI-powered tools like Claude, Figma AI, and Large Language Models is highly desirable, along with a passion for experimenting with new processes and technologies to enhance product design. Fluency in German at a C1 level or higher in both written and spoken communication is required to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine design concepts, prototypes, and visualizations that enhance user experience and product competitiveness.Collaborate with Frontend Developers to create and maintain components within our design system, ensuring consistency and usability.Conduct user testing, user research, and desk research independently to gather insights and inform design decisions.Review and develop design standards, review shared design systems, and contribute to strategic planning for digital products.Communicate effectively with stakeholders and service providers to present ideas, gather feedback, and coordinate design processes.Participate actively in product planning sessions, reviews, retrospectives, and refinement meetings to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.Support visual design tasks, including graphic creation when necessary, to enhance the visual appeal of digital content.
