• Ensure system decisions translate into high-quality performant and maintainable code
• Build accessibility responsiveness and performance into the system by default
• Establish clear contribution and governance models to balance speed with system integrity
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to integrate feedback and usage data into the system

What you'll bring

• Eight or more years of experience in design engineering or front-end engineering
• Proven track record of shipping design systems supported by a professional portfolio
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with expertise in design tokens
• Proficiency in using and debugging AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams on short development cycles

Your impact

Your work will directly shape how quickly teams can build and how reliably products behave, ultimately ensuring customers use Samsara's solutions with confidence. By digitizing large sectors of the global economy, you will help improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of physical operations that power the planet.
