The role

Isomorphic Labs is seeking a Medicinal Drug Design Lead to drive drug discovery programs using cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies. You will provide scientific expertise and strategic direction to advance internal and collaborative portfolios from hit identification through lead optimization.

What you'll do

• Lead medicinal chemistry strategy to drive discovery programs toward value inflection points
• Provide technical direction and strategic input to AI and machine learning platform teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high quality scientific solutions for complex problems
• Manage external contract research organization resources and monitor delivery performance
• Prepare detailed scientific proposals and reports for new and ongoing programs
• Mentor junior colleagues while maintaining an active role as an individual contributor

What you'll bring

• PhD in Medicinal Chemistry or Synthetic Organic Chemistry with five years experience
• Proven track record of leading medicinal chemistry efforts in biotech or pharma
• Experience with structure-based drug design and optimization of DMPK properties
• Demonstrated ability to manage contract research organization resources effectively
• Strong scientific achievement record evidenced by publications or patents
