Head of Product Design at Liberis

The role

This player-coach leadership role reports to the CPO and involves guiding a team of six designers across London and Stockholm. You will define the design vision for a merged fintech entity while remaining hands-on with key product journeys and prototypes. The position focuses on evolving the product into a comprehensive financial partner for small businesses, including pioneering agentic experiences.

What you'll do

• Set the design vision and direction to support overall product strategy
• Lead and develop a team of six designers across London and Stockholm
• Create a unified experience across direct and partner-branded channels using a single design system
• Design future agentic experiences that act on behalf of business owners
• Maintain high design quality by personally taking on key product journeys
• Oversee the user research function and establish a regular research rhythm

What you'll bring

• Proven experience leading and developing product design teams and managing performance
• Portfolio of shipped digital products demonstrating strong design judgment and outcomes
• Recent track record as a player-coach who enjoys both leadership and hands-on design
• Experience scaling design systems and using modern design and AI prototyping tools
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance user needs with commercial goals
