The role involves managing the full product lifecycle from clean-sheet design to prototype testing and qualification.

What you'll do

  • Perform clean sheet design of novel solid rocket motors with minimal guidance
  • Distill customer requirements into low-cost and reliable propulsion product designs
  • Lead development campaigns to evaluate conceptual designs and validate realized products
  • Provide technical guidance on the assembly and testing of initial prototypes
  • Generate and approve CAD models and drawings following ASME standards
  • Mentor less senior team members and author guidance on design best practices

What you'll bring

  • Bachelors degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with two years experience
  • Relevant experience with solid propulsion elements and structural interfaces
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design and analysis software tools
  • Strong understanding of metal additive manufacturing and high-rate production design
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance

Your impact

You will play a critical role in scaling solid missile systems by implementing innovative additive manufacturing and automated production designs. Your work will directly contribute to solving urgent national security demands through the delivery of high-performance propulsion systems.
