Job Title:                    Design Engineer Job Location:            BGSW, ADU, BangaloreExperience:                6+ yearsQualification:            B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Dept. & Group:          MS/EMH44-CWHExpected Level:        51  Job Description: Design and Development of Automotive Connectors Independent working/creation of parametric models and manufacturing drawings Perform requirement analysis, focus matrix Concept generation according to requirements Independent creation of development drawings, manufacturing drawings and offer drawings as per inputs Creation of development drawings, manufacturing drawings and offer drawings Preparation of technical customer documentation Implement changes from ECR in series parts Perform tolerance stack-up and functional proof of connector assembly Perform design calculations for various design features of connector parts Benchmarking of connectors Specification comparison Connector validation / Design verification and its requirements Mandatory skills Knowledge on thermoplastics, elastomers, metals & plating materials Knowledge on manufacturing process like molding, stamping, plating & Assembly processes Knowledge on plastic and sheet metal design concepts Knowledge on GD&T and Tolerance stack-up, tool-UG NX & team Centre Exposure to connector test specification / OEM specifications Experience on CAD tool-UG NX & team Centre is mandatory skills Perform Airgap and Creepage calculation on CAD Creo tool will be added advantages Experience on theoretical calculations Ability to interact with Cross functional teams Problem solving & analytical capabilities Creation of Material Master and BOM in SAP Preferred skills: Work experience in connector industry / automotive domain is added advantage Exposure to plastic injection molding tooling, sheet metal (forming, stamping) tools, connector assembly tools Knowledge on Electrical Vehicles High Voltage connector is added advantage Experience/participation in DRBFM/focus matrix and FMEA for connector Knowledge in project management tools like MS project & other MS office tools.
