Backend Engineer, Developer & End-user Experience Platform at Stripe

The role

Stripe is seeking Backend Engineers for the Developer and End-user Experience Platform organization to build ergonomic APIs and large-scale systems. You will play a key role in extending balance management and funds accessibility platforms used by enterprises and SMBs globally.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain APIs and services handling billions of money movement requests
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across multiple levels of the stack
• Mentor other engineers to support their professional growth and development
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build features at large scale
• Improve internal engineering standards tooling and development processes
• Work effectively within a distributed and hybrid team environment

What you'll bring

• At least two years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong coding proficiency in any modern programming language
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across different workstreams
• High degree of autonomy and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Interest in working as a generalist across various technology stacks
