Job Description

Metrohm Autolab (Utrecht, The Netherlands), a fully owned subsidiary of Metrohm Group, is a leading supplier of analytical and scientific instrumentation for electrochemistry in laboratories worldwide.

Due to the growing focus on UX within the Group, we are looking for a UX Designer (32 - 40 hours per week)

With the ambition to enthusiastically contribute to the design and development of our scientific research software and instruments.Your assignment: - You elaborate on our Design System in Figma, so our existing software UX/UI designs are gradually evolving in a consistent way.- You seek alignment with our global Metrohm UX team, contributing our local design perspective.- You translate ideas for new features into validated UX/UI designs for our Scrum teams, in close collaboration with your direct colleagues and internal stakeholders.- You analyze and organize information to determine the optimal solution for our users (domain and user research) and validate our software's UX in usability tests.- You support Product Management and development teams with UX questions, and by regularly testing the software from a user's point of view.- Together with your colleagues from Hardware, you align UX across both hardware and software. Your profile:- You have a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field of study, strong analytical skills, and you are motivated to dive into the domain of electrochemistry research.- You have 4+ years of experience in UX design and working with Design Systems in Figma, preferably within the context of technical applications for measurement and control.- You are a structured worker, committed to getting things done in a consistent manner.- You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, but you also know when to put your own ideas aside for the consensus of the team or the benefit of the company.- You organize your own work, making sure your designs are complete and validated in time.- You can easily navigate between a holistic overview level and clarifying all necessary details.- You know how to clearly express yourself in English (US), while always deliberately using defined domain language in a consistent manner.- You enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary environment with short communication lines and a great deal of personal responsibility and room for initiative.
