We are seeking a Freelance Designer with a strong emphasis on UI to support one of the most recognizable financial brands in the country, a client celebrated for its bold creative ambitions and culturally resonant work. This is an opportunity to contribute to digital product experiences that reach millions of people, working within a collaborative and fast-moving team environment. This is a remote freelance role from June 15 through September 3, 2026.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 to 6 years of experience, with an agency setting preferred
  • Bring a strong UI sensibility and visual design craft to digital product work, with complementary UX capabilities that inform and elevate your output
  • Implement a combination of strategic, conceptual, and design skills across a variety of deliverable types
  • Create and manage original, visually compelling work that is both on-brand and purposeful
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining visual design systems, with experience creating and deploying tokenized components for scalable design
  • Adept at utilizing AI tools to inform and streamline the design process, from research to prototyping
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and various teams within AKQA, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement

Location & Commitment

  • Remote (United States only)
  • June 15, 2026 through September 3, 2026
  • 40 hours/week
  • Available during core business hours, U.S. Eastern Time
  • Expected compensation: $2,200 to $2,600/week
