Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Aircall. This is a unique role where you will act as our founding designer. It is a fast, lean, and obsessively accountable. You will be the design voice of the product: the person who owns the experience end-to-end, sets the quality bar, and makes the calls that shape how thousands of sales people interact with AI every day.

This is not a role where you wait for tickets. You will improve what exists, fix the legacy we've accumulated while moving fast, and design what's coming next — the future of AI in voice and communication. You'll do all three at once, and you'll decide which trade-offs are worth making to ship.

This role is for someone senior and self-directed — someone who already knows what good UI and good UX look like, and doesn't need a playbook to get there. You understand design systems, interaction patterns, and the difference between polish that matters and polish that doesn't. You move fast without losing craft, and you know perfection is the enemy of progress in a startup.

You'll partner extremely closely with our Leadership team — but you're expected to challenge, not just execute. You'll bring opinions, defend them, and change your mind when the user proves you wrong. And you'll stay close to the client: discovering problems on calls, in data, and in the product itself, sometimes together and sometimes entirely on your own.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will own product design end-to-end — from discovery and interaction design to high-fidelity execution and the design system that holds it all together.

Design & Craft

  • Own the experience: Drive the end-to-end product experience — flows, interaction design, and high-fidelity UI — for a complex AI product used daily by sales teams.
  • Fix the legacy: Audit and systematically improve the experience and visual debt we've accumulated while moving fast, raising the overall quality bar without halting momentum.
  • Design what's next: Translate the agentic, AI-native vision into concrete, usable interfaces — making novel AI interactions feel obvious and trustworthy.
  • Design system: Build and evolve a pragmatic, scalable design system in Figma that lets us ship consistently and fast.
  • AI-augmented workflow: Make AI a core part of your daily craft — to design and prototype faster, brainstorm and explore more directions, and accelerate the everyday work. We expect you to push how far AI can take a designer's workflow.

Discovery & Partnership

  • Stay close to the client: Talk to users, sit in on calls, dig into product data, and surface the real problems worth solving — independently or alongside the team.
  • Partner and challenge: Work hand-in-hand with the tech team and product founder; bring strong, well-reasoned opinions and the willingness to push back and explore alternatives together.
  • Make trade-offs: Decide what to ship now versus later, what's worth the craft, and what's good enough — and communicate those decisions clearly.
  • Work with engineering: Collaborate tightly with frontend engineers (NextJS, Tailwind) to ensure what ships matches the intent and feels right in the hands of users.

What We're Looking For

Core Design

  • 5+ years of senior product design experience, ideally shipping complex B2B/SaaS or AI products.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates mastery of UX and UI — you know the good practices, the good patterns, and when to break them.
  • Fluency in Figma and modern design-system thinking.
  • Comfort designing for ambiguity: novel AI interactions, data-heavy workflows, and products that change weekly.
  • Strong sense of interaction detail, visual craft, and information hierarchy.

  • You are fast. You ship, iterate, and learn rather than polish in a vacuum.
  • You are extremely accountable — you own outcomes, not just deliverables.
  • You think like a founder: you make trade-offs, prioritize ruthlessly, and move.

International Environment

  • Communication skills are a must — you'll sync constantly with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, and Business; you need to be willing to stay close to our users and their real problems.
  • Fluency in English is required, and Spanish  is a plus.

    €60,000 - €80,000 annual gross a year
    This base range is not including a quarterly bonus and other benefits. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, location, qualifications, and experience.
