Your tasks

  • Champion users and outcomes: Keep a user-first perspective in every decision and make complex packaging and compliance workflows intuitive, clear, and measurable.
  • Conduct user research and discovery: Lead interviews, usability tests, and workshops to understand customer workflows, pain points, and recurring UX friction.
  • Shape workflows and interaction models: Partner with Product and Engineering from early problem framing through solution design, turning complex requirements into coherent end-to-end experiences.
  • Turn recurring problems into reusable patterns: Identify common interaction needs across modules and define scalable UX patterns for areas such as tables, filters, bulk actions, status, review flows, data completeness, and system states.
  • Evolve the UX side of our design system: Maintain and improve interaction principles, components, states, and usage guidance so teams can build consistent experiences without redesigning common problems from scratch.
  • Prototype with AI and code when useful: Use Figma, AI coding tools, and lightweight coded prototypes to test ideas quickly. You can navigate frontend code and make smaller UI changes, but you are not expected to work as a Frontend Engineer.
  • Collaborate through implementation: Work closely with Engineers to understand technical constraints, review implementation in the live product, and adapt solutions without losing user intent.
  • Analyze and improve: Use product data, customer feedback, and recurring support signals to improve both individual workflows and the underlying UX system.

What you bring with you

  • Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in Product Design, ideally in SaaS B2B environments and preferably with complex or data-heavy workflows.
  • Track record: Proven experience designing and shipping digital products end-to-end - from discovery and prototyping to live product - supported by strong examples of shipped work.
  • Product and UX expertise: Deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, systems thinking, and user experience principles, with the ability to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous problems.
  • Systems mindset: You naturally look for reusable patterns and principles instead of solving every feature as a one-off design problem.
  • Technical fluency: You understand how modern component-based frontend applications are built, can work comfortably with Engineers, and can navigate HTML/CSS and React/TypeScript concepts. Production frontend engineering is not a core requirement.
  • AI-first working style: You actively use AI tools for research synthesis, exploration, prototyping, and lightweight coding, and you are interested in changing the product process rather than only making existing design tasks faster.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and domain experts, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical realities.
  • Tools: Strong command of Figma and familiarity with modern collaboration, research, analytics, and AI prototyping tools.
  • Language: Native-level German and fluent English skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Background: Degree, vocational training, or bootcamp in a relevant field - your practical experience matters most.
