Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Gameplay Designer (Enemies/NPC) to join our team and help us develop a new game in the Witcher Saga! You will play a crucial role in developing behaviors for our unique NPCs and enemies in order to provide our players with engaging, fun and challenging encounters and interactions. You will also act as a mentor and expert resource in all NPCs and enemies related matters. If you are ready to take on such a challenge, don’t hesitate and apply! :)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of NPCs, and enemies behavior subsystems.
- Collaboration with designers, programmers and other project stakeholders to develop and refine mechanics that enhance player immersion and satisfaction.
- Designing and prototyping unique enemy, NPC and character companions behaviors, reactions, abilities and weaknesses - both humans and monsters.
- Iterating on behavior through playtesting and feedback, to create engaging and dynamic experiences.
- Creation of clear and detailed documentation for AI subsystems.
- Acting as a subject matter expert, mentoring the team.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in RPG/Action titles with melee-oriented combat.
- Proven success in creating compelling and innovative gameplay mechanics.
- Understanding programming/scripting NPCs behavior design and experience with game editors and game design tools.
- Experience in working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or Unreal Engine 5.
- Openness to receiving and giving feedback about your work.
- Ability to include others in the design process.
- Mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and openness for changes & experimentation.
- Passion for games and a good sense of humor are appreciated!

- Remote: working remotely from a location with a maximum +/- 3h time difference to Warsaw time zone.

Estimated pay range for this position: 20 100 – 31 790 PLN gross monthly.
