Senior AI-Native Designer & Builder, Design System at zscaler

The role

This hybrid role in Santa Clara focuses on evolving Zscaler’s design ecosystem to ensure consistency and scalability across all products. You will leverage cutting-edge AI tools to design, build, and iterate on the visual and structural standards for the world’s largest cloud security platform.

What you'll do

• Design and architect reusable components and interaction patterns for scalability
• Write clear component specifications and usage guidelines using AI assistance
• Build live prototypes using AI-powered developer tools like Cursor and Claude
• Partner with UI engineers to align design intent with web technologies
• Support product design teams during the adoption of the design system
• Troubleshoot complex layouts and apply systematic component architecture principles

What you'll bring

• Six or more years of experience in Product or UX Design
• At least one year of dedicated contribution to a multi-product design system
• Proven experience integrating AI assistants into daily design and development workflows
• Expertise in systematic component architecture and responsive structural layouts
• Familiarity with accessibility frameworks including WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards
