Senior Design Manager at Turner & Townsend

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our creative design initiatives at our North Coast, Egypt location. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary leader with 15+ years of design management experience to drive innovation, shape design strategy, and mentor a talented team of designers. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing design excellence across our organization while fostering a collaborative and creative culture.

• Develop and execute comprehensive design strategies that align with organizational goals and market opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers, providing creative direction, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities
• Oversee the design process from concept through execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to brand standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and engineering to deliver cohesive design solutions
• Manage design budgets, timelines, and resources while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs
• Establish and maintain design systems, standards, and best practices across all projects
• Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders, effectively communicating design rationale and business value
• Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry innovations to keep the organization competitive
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance to ensure all deliverables meet organizational standards

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in design management or senior design roles
• Proven track record of leading design teams and managing creative projects from conception to delivery
• Expert proficiency in design software and tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of design thinking methodology and user-centered design principles
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing design strategies and brand guidelines
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong budget management and resource allocation experience
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for both creative and non-creative audiences
• Knowledge of design systems and component-based design approaches preferred
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior designers preferred
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments preferred
