Staff Brand Designer at Mercury

The role

Mercury is a fintech company seeking a Staff Brand Designer to uphold exceptionally high standards of design craft. You will own technically complex brand projects and help define the visual evolution of the company. This role is for a detail-oriented designer with a deep aesthetic philosophy and years of high-level experience.

What you'll do

• Set and uphold the craft standard across all brand surfaces and campaigns.
• Lead high-visibility brand design projects from brief through delivery.
• Co-lead the evolution of creative direction and visual standards.
• Provide hands-on craft oversight and reviews for the Brand Studio team.
• Commission and art-direct external photographers, illustrators, and motion designers.
• Develop brand system documentation and frameworks to ensure consistency.

What you'll bring

• Portfolio demonstrating mastery of typography, layout, color, and composition.
• Seven to ten years of brand design experience in high-craft environments.
• Fluency in building and stewarding brand systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience contributing to design systems.
• Strong verbal skills to communicate the intent and impact of decisions.
