UX Research Manager, Payments at Stripe

The role

This UX Research Manager role leads a team of researchers focused on Stripes core Payments and Risk product pillar. You will report to the Head of Research and help shape research as a core competency across the organization. The position involves coaching a highly skilled group to deliver insight-driven product experiences that meet global user needs.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of mixed-methods researchers throughout the product development process.
• Guide the research team through artificial intelligence transformation in internal processes and user research.
• Share research insights to deepen understanding of user needs and identify growth opportunities.
• Partner with leadership to define long-term product strategy grounded in user insights.
• Prioritize research needs across multiple workstreams to deliver actionable results at the right scale.
• Build research programs and toolkits to enable other teams to apply research skills.

What you'll bring

• At least seven years of relevant user research experience working on digital products.
• Minimum of three years of experience in people management and leadership roles.
• Proven track record of recruiting and building high-performing research teams.
• Ability to balance user needs with project priorities and business goals.
• Experience conducting complex research using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
