Group Design Lead - Spend at Wise

The role

As a Group Design Lead for the Spend team, you will lead a global group of designers to create a best-in-class spending experience for millions of users. You will take ownership of vision setting and design quality for complex financial products involving both digital and physical elements.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of designers to deliver projects across complex product areas
• Set the design vision and maintain accountability for product quality
• Partner cross-functionally with product managers and engineering leads
• Build a deep understanding of customer needs through research and empathy
• Guide designers to ensure they are delivering the most impactful projects
• Increase customer-centeredness and creativity within the design team

What you'll bring

• At least 14 years of experience as a design leader including people management
• Portfolio of well-crafted work in digital product and brand design
• Proven record of leading global design teams that deliver features at scale
• Strong storytelling skills to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
• Experience using early concepts and prototypes to build conviction
