Hiring: Business Analyst / Solution Designer – Regulatory Reporting

Amsterdam, Netherlands (Onsite)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6 Months

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Solution Designer to join the Asset Based Finance IT department for a leading banking client in Amsterdam.

In this role, you will work within an Agile Scrum team responsible for Regulatory Reporting solutions in the Commercial Finance domain. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data domain owners, and software engineers to deliver compliant, accurate, and auditable regulatory reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse regulatory and business requirements and translate them into robust IT solutions

Design clear and development-ready functional specifications

Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies

Define Azure DevOps Boards work items including Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria

Support developers during implementation and participate in software testing and validation

Ensure regulatory reporting solutions meet Basel and financial compliance requirements

Work closely with business, data, and technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

6–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Solution Designer

Strong background in Banking / Financial Services

Experience with Commercial Finance and Regulatory Reporting

Good understanding of Basel regulations, accounting principles, and risk concepts

Strong data analysis and SQL skills

Experience with XML, XSD, and CSV data structures

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Boards

Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting

Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum environments

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Have

Experience with MySQL

Knowledge of SAFA (Solution and Functional Architecture)
