To further strengthen and evolve our core Transport Management System (TMS), we are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong functional design focus. In this role, you will join one of our product teams responsible for the migration of our TMS to new technology. You will work closely with the Product Owner, developers, and testers to translate business processes and operational needs into clear, functional designs that drive efficient and scalable solutions.
To be successful as a Business Analyst, you are analytical, structured, and able to bridge the gap between business operations and IT. You enjoy understanding complex logistics processes and translating them into functional system behavior.
What will you do?
Besides a hands-on approach, we value your input, advice, and expertise for:
Working closely with the Product Owner to define and refine the roadmap for our core TMS migrationAnalyzing and modeling the new process and designsTranslating business requirements into clear functional designs, user stories, and acceptance criteriaActing as the functional link between business stakeholders and the development teamSupporting the prioritization and refinement of the product backlogDefining business rules, workflows, and data requirements within the TMSSupporting developers and testers by clarifying functional behavior and validating solutionsIdentifying opportunities for process optimization and system improvements
What do we expect from you?
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Informatics or IT-related fieldProven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in complex operational systemsStrong experience in:Requirements gathering and analysisFunctional design and specificationUML use casesAbility to drive discussions with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify functional needsStrong communication and documentation skillsExperience working in an Agile / Scrum environmentPreferably experience in:Transport Management Systems (TMS) or Supply Chain systemsThe logistics or transportation industryGood command of the English language (spoken and written)Currently living in The Netherlands within a normal commute of Haarlem
