As a Retail Designer, you work on realizing store projects all over the world through close collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Your work is reflected in high‑quality architectural packages and commercial plans based on customer needs and behaviors. You design and plan our retail spaces, lead projects, and create and develop architectural drawings. You are responsible for bringing our stores to life and ensuring the look and feel align with our brand direction. ​

​Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*

  • Bring H&M’s design and interior concepts to life including brand DNA, identity, commercial objectives, and strategic goals through architectural drawings.​

  • Create and/or review architectural and interior design packages, as well as construction documents, for a variety of project types.​

  • Provide guidance and innovative solutions to resolve technical and design challenges when needed.​

  • Co-develop retail concepts and improvements related to best practices and work processes with relevant stakeholders.​

  • Present your work in a clear and professional way, including plans, sections, 3D models, and visualizations.​

  • Set up and deliver work according to realistic timelines.​

  • Structure and organize information and documents to ensure a clear and secure handover to internal and external stakeholders.​

  • Follow up on your projects and take ownership of analyzing both successes and areas for improvement.​

  • Ensure strong communication with multiple project teams, brands, contractors, consultants, and local H&M Group teams.​

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the best solution for every space and incorporate relevant feedback.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.​

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Architecture, and other CAD software for 2D/3D design.​

  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in retail architecture or interior design, with a focus on commercial space planning. ​

  • Solid understanding of real estate project stages, from exploration and negotiation to design, approval, construction, and follow-up. ​

  • Skilled in managing multiple projects in complex environments with various stakeholders. ​

  • Goal-oriented problem solver with a results-driven mindset in fast-paced settings. ​

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills, with strong time management. ​

  • Ability to visualize concepts in 3D renderings and make fact-based layout decisions aligned with guidelines and site-specific needs. 

  • Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish.

  • International experience is a plus. ​
