Job Description

UX Research Internship
Start Date: September, 2026
Duration: 6 months

We’re looking for the brightest talents to join our UX Research Internship.

UX Research is about understanding people: how they think, what they're trying to do, and why they behave the way they do when using a product. At Blueground, that means studying how guests and partners actually experience our platform, finding where things break down, and making sure product decisions are based on real evidence rather than assumptions.

As a UX Research Intern, you will receive top notch mentorship and equip yourself to start talking to real people, observing how they actually use our product, and turning what you learn into insights the team can act on. This is a role built around curiosity, rigour, and asking "why?" until you have a real answer.

Throughout the program you'll:

  • Work closely with product managers and designers so that research genuinely shapes decisions
  • Collaborate with an experienced UX Research mentor who will guide you through modern research methodologies
  • Observe and talk to real users to understand how they interact with the product — and the reasons behind their behaviour
  • See your research evolve into a decision-making process that helps our product grow based on real human feedback
  • Work across the full research lifecycle, from recruiting and scheduling participants to running studies, synthesizing findings, and presenting insights, using modern tools at each stage

Internship timeline:

Phase 1: Product immersion

A structured introduction to our product. You will shadow our UX researcher, receive hands-on mentorship, and get familiar with the tools and methods used day-to-day. The goal is to understand how we work before you start doing.

Phase 2: Supported ownership

Start contributing with your mentor alongside. You will get deeper exposure to different research methods, begin planning studies, and run your first moderated user sessions, with guidance and feedback throughout.

Phase 3: Independent research

Own research projects end-to-end: from scoping the questions to presenting findings to the product team. Your mentor remains available, but this phase is yours to lead.

What we're looking for:

  • Graduate students holding or completing a degree in any field where understanding people and their behavior is central, including but not limited to: Psychology, Cognitive Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction
  • Genuine curiosity about people and the "why" behind their decisions
  • Strong communication: listens carefully, asks good follow-up questions, and explains findings clearly
  • Analytical mindset: comfortable with ambiguity and finding structure in messy, unstructured information
  • Takes initiative: notices something unexpected and wants to get to the bottom of it
  • Some familiarity with basic statistics or quantitative concepts

Your Benefits:

  • Earn while you learn; this is a paid internship
  • Mentorship from our Senior UX Researcher and continuous support from product team
  • Work with a modern AI-enabled stack
  • Launch your professional career on a strong footing
