What are you going to do?

How do we ensure that technology supports healthcare professionals instead of distracting them? And how do we design solutions that are understandable, accessible, and enjoyable to use for clients, informal caregivers, and healthcare professionals?

As a UX Designer at Nedap in healthcare, you will play an important role in developing digital solutions that contribute to accessible, affordable, and sustainable healthcare. You combine user research, interaction design, and visual design to translate complex challenges into simple and meaningful user experiences.

You will immerse yourself in the daily reality of healthcare and work closely with users, developers, product owners, and fellow UX Designers. From initial insights to final implementation, you help ensure that our solutions not only work well, but also create real value for the people who use them.

Your responsibilities

You investigate the needs of clients, informal caregivers, and healthcare professionals, and translate insights into concrete design decisions.

You design intuitive user flows, interactions, and interfaces for complex healthcare processes.

You guide the entire design process, from research and concept development to validation and implementation.

You actively contribute to product vision and decision-making from a user perspective.

You promote user-centered ways of working within teams, bring research insights into discussions at the right moment, and help ensure decisions are evidence-based.

Your team

As a UX Designer at Nedap in Healthcare you will work both within their own tribe and together in a central UX Design guild. The guild currently consists of more than 25 UX professionals, spread across different tribes and teams. You will be part of Team Luna and the UX team within the Dossier Tribe.

Together with other designers, you will work on improving our products while further developing the UX discipline within Nedap. You will regularly exchange ideas on research methods, design challenges, and new insights. In addition, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and colleagues from support, implementation, and commercial teams.

Required Skills

You are an experienced UX Designer who can effortlessly switch between research, interaction design, and visual design. You are curious, analytical, and able to turn complex challenges into solutions that feel intuitive and valuable for users.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

You have at least 5 years of experience in UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or a related field. You have proven experience designing for complex enterprise environments and feel comfortable working in a dynamic setting where you regularly switch between different contexts, teams, and topics. You have demonstrated experience conducting user research and translating insights into design decisions. You are skilled in designing user flows, interactions, and responsive interfaces. You have extensive experience with Figma, design systems, and collaboration within multidisciplinary product teams. Strong communication skills: You can clearly communicate your findings, both verbally and in writing. You are fluent in both Dutch and English.Experience in healthcare, or knowledge of topics such as dementia, long-term care, or medication processes, is considered a plus.

Good to know: You are available for 38 hours per week. Hybrid working is standard practice at Nedap, and together with your team you determine your own working hours to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Given the responsibilities of the role, you are preferably present on our campus in Groenlo at least two days per week.
