About the Project

At CloudFactory, we provide a global network of expertise to make AI-generated data reliable and trustworthy. We are seeking an Independent UI/UX Designer for a 6-month specialized project focused on the evaluation and enhancement of AI-generated design outputs. This is a contract-based engagement for a professional who can bridge the gap between design intuition and technical data annotation.

Security & Equipment Protocol

  • Data Security: Due to the sensitive nature of the proprietary AI models and strict data-privacy protocols, all services must be performed via a secured, company-managed device.
  • Provisioning: CloudFactory will provide a secured workstation for the sole purpose of executing this contract. This device must be returned immediately upon the conclusion of the 6-month project term.

Scope & Deliverables

As a contractor, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Quality Assessment: Curate and evaluate visual designs and AI-generated outputs against established technical rubrics.
  • Rationale Documentation: Provide expert written rationale for grading decisions to help refine AI model performance.
  • Figma Execution: Utilize advanced Figma features (components, auto-layout, tokens) to refine layouts and demonstrate standardized UI patterns.
  • Strategic Feedback: Contribute professional insights to improve design clarity and feedback loops for the project stakeholders.

Project Capacity & Independence

  • Workload: We are looking for a partner with the current capacity to manage a workload of 30–40 hours per week to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Professional Autonomy: While deliverables must meet established rubrics and security standards, the Consultant maintains independent control over their specific work methods and daily schedule.

Consultant Requirements

  • Expertise: 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a portfolio demonstrating high-level visual craft.
  • Tooling: Mastery of Figma. You are expected to provide your own workstation and software licenses necessary to complete the work.
  • Communication: Ability to independently manage your workflow and communicate design decisions clearly.

Engagement: This is a project-based engagement. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment.

Terms

  • Duration: While this is a 6-month engagement, we frequently extend contracts for top-tier consultants who excel at hitting delivery targets and maintaining high design standards. Success in this phase can lead to ongoing project opportunities.
  • Independence: While we provide project-specific guidelines and access to our proprietary AI platform, you maintain control over your specific work methods and schedule to meet project deadlines.

How to apply:

A. Share your portfolio: for this role, we care as much about how you build as what you build. Instead of just a PDF or website link, please include the following:

1. Direct Figma Links: Share a "View Only" link to 1 or 2 specific project files. We want to peek under the hood to see how you organize your work.

2. What We Look For: We will be looking at your layer organization, component structure, use of Auto Layout, and

general file hygiene.

3. Permissions: Double-check your sharing settings. Ensure the link is set to "Anyone with the link can view" so we don't have to request access.'

4. What to Submit:

Please include 2-3 projects that showcase your technical strengths:

Interfaces: We prefer functional designs (dashboards, data tables, productivity tools) over simple marketing landing pages.

Design Systems: If you have built a component library, style guide, or design tokens, please include it.

Process: Briefly explain the problem you solved. We value the logic behind the design as much as the final result.

B. Complete the Technical Assessment Before submitting your application, please complete our brief Design Assessment.

  • Assessment Link: here
  • What to do: Open the Figma file and follow the instructions on the first page.
  • Submission: You will paste the link to your completed assessment file in the final section of the application form.
  • Note: Applications submitted without a completed assessment link will not be reviewed.
