About the Role

Hinge is hiring a Senior UX Researcher to join the Dating Outcomes research team, supporting our mission of helping people find meaningful romantic connections. In this role, you will lead quant and qual research methods to understand what helps daters move conversations forward with confidence after they match, and what helps that connection carry beyond the app itself and into a real date.

Responsibilities

  • Shape research roadmap: Shape the research roadmap for the Interaction product team so that research informs product decision making and drives product strategy.

  • Develop and execute end-to-end research: Conduct end-to-end research using appropriate methods that range from strategic to iterative and evaluative to help the team achieve goals.

  • Deliver high-impact insights at velocity: Generate clear, actionable insights that drive decisions and build momentum towards our mission.

  • Be a proactive cross-functional partner: Independently partner with other researchers, product, design, and data science to identify research needs and key opportunities.

  • Champion team culture: Model honest, empathetic feedback and contribute to a culture grounded in curiosity, rigor, deep user empathy – and fun.

About You

  • 4+ years of UX research experience in a consumer-facing product research role – messaging or social media domain experience is a plus!

  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end research that influences product development and impacts key product metrics.

  • Mixed methods research with a strong qualitative research toolkit and quantitative research experience.

  • Strong communicator, committed to telling clear and compelling insights-backed stories that bias to action.

  • Dedicated to building successful partnerships with stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

  • Eager to learn from, collaborate with, and mentor other researchers.

  • Passion for innovation and exploring how emerging technologies, including generative AI, can elevate the craft and impact of research.

  • Champions team culture in authentic, courageous, and empathic ways.

$167,000 - $205,000 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
