As a Senior UX Designer at Riverty, your work will be about creating sustainable financial services by bringing human-centeredness to life in our organization, helping us better understand the world we design and build for. You will explore, analyze, communicate, and advocate on the topics surrounding bringing relevance to our services for the people they are aimed at.You’ll join our international Design team of UX designers, UI designers, service designers, and content designers, and work alongside peers across Europe. We operate in a regionally distributed hybrid setup with an expectation of twice-weekly office presence, along with occasional travel for team meetups or cross-functional workshops.
What you will do:As a Senior UX Designer at Riverty, you’ll report to the Design Lead, Checkout & Platform, and support a cross-disciplinary platform team of UX Design, Service Design, and Content Design, helping shape our internal business tools.Your focus will be on translating mental models and end-to-end processes into clear, user-friendly UX designs. You’ll identify friction across flows, touchpoints, and systems, and improve clarity, usability, and efficiency for internal users.You’ll apply UX and systems thinking to map journeys and dependencies, uncover root causes behind user and business problems, and work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and other stakeholders to turn complex requirements into actionable, user-centred improvements.
Your time will mainly be spent:Supporting the design process by gathering and analyzing information to inform design decisions.Creating user journey flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes to guide and validate the usability of products and services.Conducting usability testing to evaluate designs and iterating based on user feedback.Leveraging and contributing to the design system with high-fidelity designs and UI components.Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in Product and Tech to align on goals and deliverables.Promoting user-centric thinking and ensuring the voice of the customer is reflected in your work.
You will succeed in this role if you have the following skills:Experience conducting or working closely with others on user research, analyzing insights, and translating them into impactful design solutions particularly for internal tools or platforms.Are comfortable designing for highly complex systems and processes.Sufficient technical understanding to work within system constraints and translate backend concepts such as data flows into frontend designs.Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma or similar tools with a focus on scalable patterns and consistency.Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to create and implement design solutions.Strong understanding of interaction design principles and usability best practices, ensuring seamless user flows.Experience conducting usability tests and iterating on designs based on user feedback.Solid communication and presentation skills to share design ideas and advocate for user needs.
We would be especially excited if you have any of the following (but we’re also excited if you come learn with us):Experience working in fintech or with financial services products.Experience in designing internal platforms or desktop experiences.Working closely with frontend and backend engineers.Ability to understand data models and component structures as part of the design process.Familiarity with accessibility standards and their application in design.Exposure to complex product ecosystems, including B2B, B2C, or B2B2C products.Basic knowledge of product development frameworks and technologies.
