Job Description

Men’s Jersey Senior Designer– TOM FORD – CDI

Reporting to the Menswear Design Director, the Men’s Jersey Senior Designer is responsible for fully driving the Jersey category (including underwear and small accessories) with a strong creative and strategic vision and in alignment with the Tom Ford Artistic Direction.

Responsibilities:Actively lead, drive and monitor the Jersey category at all stages of the collection process as a finished product, in close collaboration with the PD and Merchandising teams: material research, sketches, collection strategy, product Development presentations & fittings with the Creative Director.Lead and follow through all jersey meetings and fittings from the first inspirations until the industrialisation.Enforce a business-oriented strategy whilst complying with the allocated budgets, in collaboration with the merchandising and PD teams

Key Requirements:5+ years of experience in Luxury JerseyProficient in Adobe and Computer presentation skills, research and sketchingProven experience in raw material research from yarns to jerseyExperience of vertical product process: from yarn research to finish productExcellent knowledge of technique and long-lasting productive collaboration with Portuguese and Italian manufacturersSignificant experience and demonstration of branding, graphism and working with intellectual property in an elevated luxurious way.Curiosity and enthusiasm, leading to continuous research for innovative techniques and finishingsAutonomy, accountabilityStrong work ethic, integrity and reliability with a “Hands on” attitudePositive, with a strong collaborative and down-to-Earth approachAbility to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with flexibility and great time management skillsFluent in English, French and Italian are a plus
