Job Description
This is not a support role — you will become a trusted advisor to our customers, leading the technical work and influencing how organizations manage and get more out of their data. You work cross-functionally across industries and technology stacks, and bring best practices and a strong architectural mindset to every assignment. You will work on customer projects where you design, build and optimize data platforms and pipelines for some of the most successful companies in the Nordics.
What you will do
Design and implement modern data architectures with Snowflake, dbt and Python in diverse customer environments
Build robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that transform raw data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets
Work closely with customer stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
Advise customers on data strategy, platform selection and best practices for data governance and data quality
Coach junior colleagues and contribute to Devoteam's internal knowledge base and skills development
Participate in presales work with technical scoping, solution design and estimation
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of practical experience in data engineering or a related field
Deep knowledge of Snowflake — architecture, performance optimization, security and cost optimization
Strong knowledge of Python for data pipeline development, testing and automation
Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling
Experience in designing and managing production-ready ETL/ELT flows
Experience with at least one large cloud platform
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Good to have
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster or Prefect
Knowledge of Databricks, Spark or other frameworks for large-scale data processing
Knowledge of Power BI, Looker or other BI and visualization tools
Background in consulting or professional services
Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Certificates in Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure or GCP.
