Role Overview

The Senior Product Designer II will lead the design and execution of AI-powered consumer and enterprise experiences for Instacart's Agentic team. This role involves transforming complex AI systems into intuitive, habit-forming solutions for grocery shopping and meal planning. You will contribute to shaping the future of food technology by empowering users with innovative tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design next-generation AI experiences for grocery shopping and personalized meal planning.
• Build external-facing connector agents to expand Instacart’s reach effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI technologies into scalable solutions.
• Drive trust and usability by creating design systems emphasizing AI transparency and feedback.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design improvements.
• Push the boundaries of innovation by solving complex challenges in multimodal interfaces.

Requirements Snapshot

• Possess 6–8+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Have 2+ years of specialized experience designing for AI systems, including conversational AI.
• Be proficient with Figma and rapid prototyping tools for concept validation.
• Demonstrate success collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data/ML teams.
• Be fluent in conducting usability studies and translating insights into design refinements.
