Senior or Staff Product Designer, Design Systems at Harvey

The role

As a Staff Design Systems Designer, you will define the foundations that make Harveys AI-native product coherent, scalable, and trustworthy. You will operate as a systems thinker and hands-on builder to create a shared language between design, engineering, and AI.

• Define core design system foundations including components and tokens
• Design and ship production-ready system components with frontend engineering
• Establish governance models to balance velocity with system integrity
• Embed accessibility and performance into the system by default
• Document system usage and best practices for product teams
• Advocate for system adoption and consistency across the organization

• Over eight years of experience in product design and systems
• Portfolio demonstrating system-level thinking and real product impact
• Deep understanding of component architecture and design tokens
• Proven experience partnering with frontend engineers on production systems
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
