UX/UI Designer – B2B Travel Platform
Location: Europe-based, fully remote possible; preference for hybrid based in Netherlands
About the roleWe are looking for a UX/UI Designer to create simpler, faster booking and travel-management experiences for global travel coordinators.
You will design products used by professionals who arrange frequent travel for people working in sectors such as maritime, aviation, and energy. These coordinators often manage dozens of bookings each day under significant time pressure, so every unnecessary click, keystroke, and decision matters.
You will report to the Art Director and work closely with a Product Owner, engineers, and other product specialists. From understanding user needs to supporting implementation, you will help shape practical B2B experiences that are clear, efficient, and easy to use.
Why this role mattersThe product is an enterprise B2B travel platform used daily by professional travel coordinators. The design system and visual direction are already established, allowing you to focus on solving real user problems and improving the overall product experience.
We are looking for someone who starts with the user and their workflow, identifies the most efficient path to completing a task, and prototypes ideas quickly enough for the team to evaluate real solutions rather than static concepts.
What you will doUnderstand travel coordinators, their responsibilities, goals, frustrations, and working environment.Clarify and challenge problem statements before beginning the design process.Design complete user journeys, including empty states, error states, exceptions, and failed processes.Create efficient workflows with as few clicks, keystrokes, and decisions as possible.Build interactive prototypes rapidly using AI-supported design tools such as Claude Design, Figma Make, or similar platforms.Present multiple design directions and clearly explain the trade-offs of each option.Work with existing design-system components and introduce new ones only when necessary.Create designs that engineers and AI coding tools can implement accurately.Collaborate with engineers throughout development and review the implemented experience.Explain design decisions and help resolve usability questions during delivery.Refine product details before release, including layout, interaction patterns, transitions, and micro-animations where appropriate.Contribute to improving the team’s approach to AI-assisted design and prototyping.
What you bringRequired experienceAt least three years of experience designing B2B, SaaS, or other digital product experiences used by real customers.A portfolio demonstrating complete user flows, design thinking, and attention to edge cases—not only polished final screens. The ability to explain design decisions based on user goals, needs, and pain points.A willingness to challenge assumptions and change direction when research, feedback, or evidence supports it.Practical experience using AI-supported design and prototyping tools, such as Claude Design, Figma Make, or similar solutions. The ability to evaluate, refine, and improve AI-generated design output.Experience working within an established design system.Good judgment about when to reuse an existing component and when a new one is justified.Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to haveExperience with micro-interactions, animation, or illustration.Experience designing complex booking, scheduling, logistics, travel, or other workflow-heavy products.Familiarity with agile product development and close collaboration with engineers.
This is not a visual brand role! This position focuses on product UX rather than brand, marketing, or visual identity design. The visual direction and design system are already established. Your impact will come from making the product more intuitive, efficient, precise, and enjoyable to use.
