The Partnerships team leads OpenAI’s engagement with key external stakeholders, helping shape how our technology is introduced and adopted across industries. The team operates at the intersection of strategy and relationship-building, partnering closely with internal teams to navigate high-visibility engagements and build long-term, trusted relationships.
About the Role
The Executive Business Partner will be a proactive partner to an executive operating at the intersection of partnerships, culture, and global influence. This role manages complex scheduling, coordinates high-profile engagements, and supports a fast-moving, externally-facing portfolio.
This role requires exceptional judgment and discretion, particularly in environments involving public figures, high-visibility partners, and sensitive engagements. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and driving operational excellence.
This role is based in New York City (NYC). We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance.
Experience we’re excited about:
Background in fast-paced or hypergrowth environments (tech, media, entertainment, or adjacent industries)
Have 7+ years experience in a cross-functional executive assistant role or similar support function.
Experience supporting executives in partnerships, communications, or culturally influential spaces
Exposure to high-visibility environments involving public figures or external stakeholders
Strong operator who can build structure in ambiguity
Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information and relationships
Expert at managing complex calendars and travel tied to external engagements
Detail-oriented with strong ownership and follow-through
Clear communicator across internal and external audiences
Independent, proactive, and collaborative
Able to maintain clarity and calm in a dynamic environment
