Job Description

At Aquent, we partner with premier global brands to bring their retail displays and experiential activations to life. We are looking for an ambitious, highly collaborative Junior 3D Designer with agency experience across retail and experiential projects to join our client team remotely from the Netherlands.

In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between creative visual concepts, rapid toolkit adaptation, and physical production. You will model and render high-impact brand activations while creating clear, accurate diagrams that fabrication partners can use to quote and build from.

This is a freelance opportunity (need to be registered at the Chamber of Commerce) for 2 months (2-3 days/week – remote), with possibility for 6 months extension.

Please share your portfolio with relevant work / project examples in order to qualify.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling & Rendering: Rapidly translate 2D brand toolkits into high-fidelity 3D renders for retail environments, POS units, bar activations, and pop-up experiences (ideally using SketchUp and V-Ray). Fabrication & Technical Drawings: Produce clear technical drawings, dimensioned layouts, and diagrams that external suppliers and fabricators can directly quote and build from. Agile Toolkitting & Adaptation: Handle routine design and artwork adaptation requests efficiently, preparing design assets under tight turnarounds (>1 month project cycles). AI-Enhanced Workflows: Leverage AI-driven creative tools and workflows to accelerate ideation, iteration, and visual presentation. Project Management & Collaboration: Support day-to-day project tracking, managing artwork requests, and coordinating deliverables across cross-functional brand and production teams.

Who You Are

Agency-Trained: Proven experience (2–3 years) in a fast-paced agency setting, working across retail, POS, and experiential projects. Technical & Creative: Proficient in SketchUp and V-Ray (or comparable rendering tools), alongside the Adobe Creative Suite. Production-Minded: Able to think beyond the render to how materials fit together, creating diagrams that fabricators can interpret accurately. Forward-Thinking: Curious and adaptable, with hands-on experience using AI creative tools to enhance your design process. Culture Fit: A collaborative team player who is eager to learn, adaptable under pressure, and simply nice to work with.
